Paul Bishop
Mr.
Bishop is President and Chief Engineer of The Bishop Group which
he founded in 1998 as an engineering company with its focus on
new technology for early adopters. He is a senior technical
leader with over 40 years experience in engineering and program
management. Paul is an active member of the IEEE, currently
serving as Chairman of the IEEE Power Engineering Society’s
Marine Systems Coordinating Committee, which he helped initiate
in 2007. He is an actively involved participant on eight IEEE
standards working groups in marine power and electric ship
technology, serving as chair for two: the IEEE P45.3 Electrical
Installations on Shipboard - System Integration and IEEE P45.4
Electrical Installations on Shipboard - Marine Sectors.
Mr.
Bishop is a graduate of the Electrical Engineering program at
the University of Florida and is a registered Professional
Engineer. |

Rick Baker
Rick Baker is the Business
Manager/Senior Analyst for The Bishop Group. He started with
the company in 2008. Rick has proven leadership, creativity,
and management skills, and has over 33 years of federal civil
engineering; management; contracting; privatization; and real
estate experience. He retired from U.S. Air Force civil service
in January 2008, as a GS-15, where he served as the Director of
Mission Support, Headquarters, Air Force Civil Engineer Support
Agency (AFCESA). In that position he led a 55 person
directorate within a 450 personnel organization in supporting
almost 60,000 Air Force civil engineers worldwide. Rick holds 3
Master Degrees in Public Administration, Strategic Studies, and
Theology. He also has completed the two premier, ten month,
professional military education courses at Air University: Air
Command and Staff College and Air War College. Rick is married
and has 4 children and 5 grandchildren. He likes to play golf
and ride motorcycles. |

Lyndsay Garrett
Ms. Garrett joined The Bishop Group in September 2006 as an
intern while finishing her B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
Since graduation her assignments have included the Littoral
Combat Ship (LCS) Mine Warfare Mission Package, Magnetic
Stimulation and Monitoring System , and IEEE consensus standards
support. Lyndsay currently serves as Secretary to three IEEE
working groups and committees. Her strengths include process
definition, LabVIEW coding, and project development. She holds
professional memberships in the IEEE Industry Applications
Society (IAS), IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES), and the
American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE). Recently, Ms.
Garrett completed the first part of process of attaining her
Professional Engineering License and has already passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering
exam and plans to take the Practical Exam in October of 2011.
Outside work, Lyndsay enjoys the beach and spending time with
friends and family. |

Sharon
Norman
Sharon is a Mechanical Engineer employed with The Bishop Group since
2003. Ms. Norman completed her Bachelor's in Mechanical
Engineering with honors at Florida State University and passed
her Florida Fundamentals of Engineering exam in April of 1992.
Ms. Norman is an expert in engineering documentation especially
tailoring documentation requirements to meet project needs.
Sharon is well versed in AutoCAD and is an expert user.
She also serves as
the Quality Control Manager for The Bishop Group. In her free
time she enjoys digital photography and staying abreast of
current computer and technology trends. |

Wasanaa Smith
Wasanaa
joined the company in June2003, and is the Information and Finance
Analyst. She has several roles covering administration, documentation,
finance and payroll, security, and computer systems. Wasanaa has her
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. She also has 20
years experience in areas such as information, risk, and project
analysis; financial analysis; customer service with computer
applications; and personal computer, database, and server maintenance
and administration. Ms. Smith is married and has two children. In her
spare time she likes to spend time outdoors, read a wide variety of books,
spend time with family, and enjoys television and movies. |

Jim Quirk
Based in the Washington D.C. area, Jim works a range of projects for
The Bishop Group, including security policy analysis, IEEE
standards development, new technologies demonstration,
communications, and special events. With an M.A. and Ph.D., Dr.
Quirk also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in
international politics and economics, and has been published in
U.S. and international journals. |

Bill Jones
Mr. Jones is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the
University of Maryland and has extensive graduate school studies
in hydrodynamics and mathematics. He is a senior technical
leader with over 43 years experience in engineering, program
management, and line management. He has had numerous successes
leading diverse groups of scientists and engineers in the
conduct of research and development projects for mines,
torpedoes, and other underwater weapons and systems. He is
recognized for his leadership and systems engineering expertise
in requirements generation and allocation; planning, budgeting,
and tracking of new programs; and troubleshooting technical
problems that arise during the research and development process.
His hobbies include golfing, traveling, and spoiling his two
grandchildren who live in Lighthouse Point, Florida. |

Roger Leete
Roger joined the
Bishop Group team in 2006 and has since been working as the IT person.
He is a Veteran of the US ARMY and currently pursuing a degree in
Computer Science while working in the field. His roles include server
admin, computer maintenance, and website administration. “I believe the
best part about working for The Bishop Group is the people that make up
the company, there is so much widespread talent and experience among the
employees that it gives us an edge and a great environment to work in”. |
